How to redact a PDF

Upload your document
Upload a PDF to the workspace. For several documents, use batch upload. A multi-page PDF stays together as one task.
Choose what to remove
Enter names or phrases as custom keywords, or select company names, personal details and contact information. Review each page beside the original.
Black out text in PDF
Choose a black mask if you want visible redaction bars. Use a white mask for drawings where a clean background is preferable. Draw an extra region over anything the detector missed; choose Keep for content that must remain.
Check and download
Run the export check and download the redacted PDF. The output is rebuilt from page images, rather than placing removable rectangles over the original PDF. Original searchable text and interactive content are not preserved. Check small print and mask boundaries before sharing.
